Lath and Plaster

Lath and plaster involves the use of kiln dried timber laths nailed approximately 5mm apart to timber studding.

Traditional slaked lime renders, mixed with animal hair (or equivalent) are used as a backing coat. A finishing coat of fine putty lime and plaster is applied to create the ultimate, silky smooth, egg shell finish.
